HB x SPF : TRANSITION

In a piece of neat, if somewhat depressing synchronicity, this week marks the one year anniversary of our last live show - The Homebeat Social, which happened literally on the still-winking-while-elbow-nudging cusp of everything that has unfolded since. 

By this day this time last year we were looking ahead and wondering at the next stop on the road - two really special shows for St Patrick’s Festival - Standing, Sitting, Lying Down and Listen & Breath - both of which were sadly not to be as the world unraveled around us. 

So it is nice to say that we are returning to some form of productivity with a new commission by the every supportive and ever inspiring team at SPF - as they dismiss the odds to continue their mission to present a true snap shot of Ireland’s past and contemporary culture with an amazing online programme 2021 

Working with HB friends Steve O Connor & Adrian we have produced 5 x 30 min live electronic vignettes by New Jackson | Simon Cullen | Sorca McGrath - Wounded Healer | Gareth Quinn Redmond | Polytunnel - all of which broadly react to the theme of TRANSITION. 

In keeping with the vibe of HB’s year - these performances are split between two very distinct contemporary space, on two very distinct sides of the island - The Space Between in Dublin 2 and Driftwood Cafe in Kerry.
